Step 1 — Select an EOB
What actually happens
- A human reads the EOB: Benji doesn't parse a scanned EOB on its own — someone on your team reads it and enters what it says, per procedure, before anything is posted.
- One remittance, one posting: a single insurance check or EFT can cover several claims at once — Benji posts per remittance, so what lands in Open Dental matches what actually hit the bank.
- Written back directly: once confirmed, Benji posts the payment and any contractual write-off straight into Open Dental's ClaimProcs and ClaimPayment — no manual re-entry.
- Denials get flagged, not guessed: if a line comes back denied or unclear, it's marked "Needs follow-up" in Billing instead of posting a number Benji isn't sure about.
